Manchester United have made the worst start to the Premier League season in club history, following a 1-1 draw with Arsenal on Monday night at Old Trafford.
Scott McTominay outscored Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side with a superb goal at the end of the first half, but Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang’s second-half goal denied the Red Devils victory.
Otherwise, last night’s derby was very poor, with a great lack of quality on both sides in a night where incessant rain affected the level of play, as well.
After seven games in the 2019/20 season, Solskjaer’s team has won only two of them, scoring nine points.
United rank 10th in the Premier League, in the top of the standings only thanks to gold, after scoring equal points with Burnley.
This means that this is the worst start of the season for United in the Premier League era.
Manchester United had the worst start to the season in the English elite league, with the 1989/90 edition having only seven points in seven games.
